Why is the social world durable?. Sociology
Because people refuse to doubt the ideas that hold it together, other purposes often protect the beliefs that hold society together or help people feel good about themselves. For example, if you told people that you are from out of space, people might think you are crazy. They would not believe you, because that means that they must doubt the ideas and the reality depends. It would upset the balance in the social world. On the other hand, what happens if this is true? Then a whole set of new ideas comes into place.
