Is there some feature of science that distinguishes it from nonscience; or meaningful from meaningless discourse?. Philosophy
According to Ayer, he made the point to say that what distinguished science from non science was the notion that it was verifiable. According to his view, if something cannot be observed to support a claim, question, or theory, it cannot be considered real science. In essence, it has to be observable. According to Popper, his belief was that the distinction between science and pseudoscience was that it had to be falsifiable. Science has to have instances where an observation can clearly disprove a theory or notion.
