Unlike the Moon, the Earth has an atmosphere, which means it has weather (wind and rain) to erode the craters. Because the Moon has no atmosphere, it gets craters from asteroids and meteorites colliding into it. The moon has no atmosphere (no rain or wind) to erode the craters.
