What is meant by ‘range of response’?. Geography
Range of response refers to all the ways in which a society may act to reduce the effects or
increase the benefits of a hazard.
This can range from immediate actions in the face of danger (warning systems, flood fighting
with sand bags and emergency evacuation) to long-term actions (planting crops less susceptible
to drought or the construction of buildings designed to resist earthquakes).
