Baptism is part of the Catholic church and is referred to as the 1st sacrament of seven and usually take place shortly after birth. Bar Mitzvahs is ritual, celebrated at age 13, marks the age when a child reaches legal majority. Ordinations is the process by which individuals are consecrated, that is, set apart as clergy to perform various religious rites and ceremonies.Marriage in­volves numerous customs and taboos and is usually considered a holy estate in societies. Rituals include throwing rice, tying knots, segregating the bride and groom before the ceremony, as well as a sustained time of separation for the couple after ceremony, etc. Each ritual symbolizes something depending upon the community. Funeral rites are also important because most religions believe that death is merely a passage from one threshold of existence to another, or a liminal period before a new birth.
