What is autonomy? Can hedonism account for the value of autonomy? Defend your answer.. Religious Studies

Autonomy is the power to guide our life through our own free choice; the right to make our own decisions and choices. I think the problem is that there are choices that are very hard to make, and we actually don't get happiness from any of our possible decisions. Nonetheless, I do think that hedonism accounts for autonomy because being able to decide for ourselves has an intrinsic value; making our own decisions makes us happy because we get to choose what happiness means for us.
