Why do Hindus worship cows?. Religious Studies

They don't, but they do revere them. Hindus are taught a reverence for life in all its aspects. This is because Hindus believe they are spiritually connected through Brahman to every aspect of the universe, including cows. The cow is given special honor because of its symbolic power. Among other things, it represents gentleness, selflessness, humility, generosity, and nurturing.
