No. The "punishment" for wrong action is lower status in the next life. The "reward" for right action is higher status. The spiritual goal of all Hindus is emancipation from the cycle of birth and death, and reunion with Brahman. This goal is called moksha. It is achieved only when the soul recognizes its divine nature.
